Oscar Improvement

March 11th, 2006 Edit

This idea is intended to help “save” the Oscars. If you had a chance to watch them last Sunday you would have seen that John Stewart was funny and that the crowd was full of assmonkey’s and other assorted charlatons that, at times, seemed barely alive. My idea is to start inviting the public to the Oscars. So when you have funny jokes being told there will be people there that appreciate them and actually laugh.. Novel concept, I know.

The way the tickets would be disbursed would be intended to help improve box office sales as well. The Academy’s attempt to slam DVD’s and talk about the movie-going experience is in vain. My idea will fix the whole damn thing; Oscars, box office, and potentially the world. The tickets would be given out at the box office randomly throughout the year. Think Golden Ticket from Willy Wonka. Each ticket stub would have a number printed on the bottom much like a Mountain Dew under the cap contest. You would then go to the website and punch in your number, 500 people later and you have the solution to all of Hollywood’s problems, less the herpes epidemic.
