OrderSourcing
Tonight I had a horrible experience with customer service. I called a Thai food place and tried ordering food. What proceeded was a conversation that went like this:
Order taker: Spell first name.
Me: (Screaming) S!! T!!!
Order taker: Okay F E
Me: NO!!! S!!! T!!! (this went on of course).
Okay, so what we do is we offer to outsource restaurants order taking service….I think I heard that McDonalds is actually thinking of doing this…let me go google, hold on…yep. Thought that is what I remembered. But we can do it for all chains as well. People would call in and we would have our OrderSource reps standing by with the database. In a calm pleasant voice they would guide you through the order process, take your number, error check your order and submit the order to the restaurant which would either receive it via email or fax. This might be beneficial for restaurants because they would not have to pay for fancy phone systems, etc… We would get paid per call and employ a scheme where mom’s could work from home instead of going directly to India.
