A Poem

June 2nd, 2006 Edit

I know that this is not normal for the ‘Dome, but I wanted to post a quick poem about who we are. I was digging through old books and happened upon my copy of A Coney Island of the Mind by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Well, one of the pages I have bookmarked speaks to what we are doing I would say. It goes something like this:

Don’t let that horse
eat that violin
cried Chagall’s mother
but he
kept right on
painting
And became famous
And kept on painting
The Horse With Violin In Mouth
And when he finally finished it
he jumped upon the horse
and rode away
waving the violin
And then with a low bow gave it
to the first naked nude he ran across

And there were no strings
attached

Frames? Anyway, I think the Dome (and more particularly Gustanza, Inc.) is ready to start branching out to more revolutionary things. I.e. We should have The Idea Thunderdome, LLC. be the business arm of Gustanza, Inc., etc… We will further discuss plans soon buddy, dont you worry. Start jotting down some ideas, but I think (as you as well I believe) that this should be more than just business ideas, etc… A place where in the future, those will travel back to here and see the seeds of something extraordinary. Sorry reading beatnick poetry gets me all caught up in movements. Preach on brother Gus.
