Corporate Catering

July 19th, 2006 Edit

I had this idea while I was waiting to get my tire fixed. As I was waiting two of the workers had to run down the road in order to grab some food for their dinner. Meanwhile, the person that just got off an eight hour shift had to stay and man the shop until they get back. We have all been in that position before and know how annoying it is to wait on some jackass to get back with their Big Mac Extra Value Meal. The idea is to have a company that delivers lunch or dinner or breakfast to establishments where it is vital that the workers work during or through their meal. Sure Pizza Hut and other places like that deliver, but this is different. Corporate Catering will be used by the employer as a fringe benefit - “If you work for our company your meals are provided.” The key behind this idea is being able to deliver good food for cheap, all at the same time making sure that it is more than just pizza or burgers or whatever. Think of the huge corporations who have gigantic cafeterias that offer inexpensive and healthy food for their employees… Why should the little guy be left out??

:) This post makes me laugh. What do you think that we have been working on diligently since I started my new job? I will advertise the new online corporate catering product here when it launches in September. Of course, what we are going to offer is a little different than what you are talking about and the delivery charges to Rockford would be a bitch, but still ironic.
