Available upon request
December 10th, 2006 Edit
This would be a reference website, availableuponrequest.com. Basically when you are on the job search you have your old references, and for some reason you are never able to remember their phone numbers, etc… Also those references could have also bounced around jobs/ moved, etc… So their numbers might not be in check either. What availableuponrequest.com would do is basically manage your references, their phone numbers, email addresses etc… for you. The website would email your references about every 3 or 6 months or so to see if their contact information has changed / keep up to date. That way all you would have to do is have people go to your references page (with your secret code, etc..) and they would have all their references right there for you. This would be a godsend for recruiters and contractors (that bounce around by nature of their work).

I really like this idea. There could even be listed testimonials on the site, by the references. In fact, extend the idea even more, and have entire resumes posted on the site, with links to places of employment, pictures, mini video clips where the applicant pitches themselves.
Instead of an attached boring resume, a cover letter email will have a link to a dynamic and more engaging online resume.
Hmm, I may even post this idea on my sight of cool ideas, www.Sparkbugg.com. Of course, I will give you the initial credit.
