WillUSeeIt(.com) - Will You See This Movie?

October 13th, 2007

We have all said this before: “I am going to wait for that movie to come out on dvd.” or “I am waiting for that movie to get to HBO.” etc. The idea is to gather all of this data in one place. The design will be a website that allows members to register, filling out their demographic information (for the most part). Once that is completed the registered user will be met with a page that looks something like this:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The beauty of this page is that it will allow users to get an idea of what other people are thinking about this movie without having to read some lame-o review from a critic who is 101 years old and out of touch with reality. It will also have the option of “drilling down” to sort the votes by age, gender, location, etc. Giving you, the member, the opportunity to see what 18-24 year olds from Alabama think about 3:10 to Yuma.

Cash would come in via advertisements on the site from the studios as well as merchandisers. The other nice thing about having users and polls on a site is that the archived memory of the site will be able to say “People who rented this movie also liked: X, Y, Z.” essentially recommending movies to see. The domain WillUSeeIt(.com) is still available!!
