Posts filed under 'Added Links' : Every once and a while we stumble upon a site in the Blogosphere that we deem Blog-worthy, and we blog them.
Neat-o little gadget. We have all been there before: a bar, restaurant, waiting room at the Dr.’s office etc, and something stupid is on the old tele. Well, this little item is superb, just hold the mute button until the TV mutes and presto, YOU control the tele. Taking the power back baby, one public TV at a time!
Just $15 a piece or 3 for $27. Click the picture below to purchase.

After taking a look at these pictures of the Google office, it really makes me think twice about what I am doing with my life… If only I were a computer programmer… Damn it would feel good to be a Google Gangster.

No new ideas here, so I thought I would highlight someone else good one. Recently I came across a good blog called Mashable, which basically points out new Web2.0 services. There is a new service called SpotRunner where basically they give you a template to create a customizable commercial and they can place it primetime for a fractions of what it would normally take. Pretty Boss.

Either I am way out of the loop, or this is brand spanking new, but Google has come up with a RSS reader of their own called (remarkably of course) Google Reader. Check it out here. It’s not bad, very Web 2.0. You have to have a gmail account to use it. I am one of the very few people on the web that do not like Gmail, but hey give it a shot if you want. I might deliver a full report on Google Reader in a few days after new posts have gone through, but probably not. I am trying to find the perfect feed reader, so far nothing has stepped up to my challenge, Thunderbird is too slow, RSSOwl is okay for now, but I had to reload every blog back in the other day they just dissappeared. Keep on bloggin buddy. Oprah’s about to come on Dave.

Thanks to Paul Stamatiou, I have discovered RSSOwl. I had been using Mozilla Thunderbird for reading my blogs, but RSSOwl is so much faster and also way better in terms of adding RSS feeds and organization. I also did a behind the scenes upgrade to the Thunderdome so that the feed does not keep coming up invalid like it used to. Paul has a great article on boosting your blog traffic, recommended.

2 quick notes. I have been browsing this great blog called Cool hunting (here). There I have found some awesome shit like Swank Signs, How to make an elvis wall out of post-it notes, and other gems on the Blogosphere. Anyway, hate to spoil all the fun, go check it out but….
Lightswitch Anywhere has basically been killed by Tobias Wong here.

The only constant is change. If something is not changing, it is dying. Welcome to The Idea Thunderdome 2.0. It’s bigger, badder, and even more revolutionary. Respect! Some notes on the new site:
1. I left off a couple of my dumb posts
2. All previous posts have been published to the new Thunderdome
3. All comments and images from the old Thunderdome have been left there (to view them go here )
4. New features will be added in soon, but I have been humping this dog for 5 hours.
PS a couple of links I want to add
