What it is like coming out of the dugout at Wrigley Field

Recently I got the chance to tour historic Wrigley Field via the Cubs Care Tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone Cubs enthusiast out there. The coolest parts are sitting in the press box, seeing the visiting and Cubs clubhouses and, of course, going on the field. We even saw the jail inside Wrigley Field and they said it gets used EVERY game.

Fast Fact: There are around 400 more seats in Wrigley Field than Comiskey Park.

The Redesign - Phase 1 - Giving the dome some freedom

Not sure what the official domain should be but I bought them both just in case: http://www.ideathunderdome.com & http://www.theideathunderdome.com . What is your opinion?

Me personally, I like it without the “the” just ideathunderdome. simple. straightforward. One day soon I will section it off so it is not actually hosted on my own personal website and actually on its own. Right now it is forwarded like gustanza.com still.

The hits just keep on coming

The Idea Thunderdome is a bulging vein on the forehead of entrepreneurship. Until today I thought that besides me and Gus (and a few relatives), there really wasn’t all that much interest in the dome. I mean, think about it, I always look at the bottom right hand corner and see our feedburner readers dip to as low as 4 and soar to as high as a whopping 13.

Then again…I just looked at this website’s stats (which is a subdivision of my outdated, paltry joke of a personal site stanhansen.biz) and the stats are growing man… and on your last post we spiked above 100 hits in a day for the first time in existance in the dome. Our visitor growth has been growing steady over the last few months, and if this month’s success continues, it will be another record breaker (the third in a row). In fact at this time last year we spiked at 20 visitors in a day that is a 500% one year growth. Okay so that is extremely shaky math and logic, but you get the point.

The army is growing…I even made an excel graph that shows our growth since June (not sure why it took off in June?)
Gustanza Revolution is growing

PS, figured out tonight that I work literally a block and a half away from the hottest “web2.0″ company in Chicago (and some might say the country). I had no idea. I am going to stalk them on Monday (and reveal who I speak of) and post it here. And the funny thing is, I work in a VERY industrial area of chicago. It reaks of sulfer and reminds me of “Paper Street” in fight club. I thought a hot web2.0 company would have some fancy high rise downtown, or at least near downtown, or in some trendy little neighborhood with hipster shops on every corner. I practically walk by their offices every day (I think I even parked in front of them once even). Stay tuned ‘domers.

The unveiling of the Gustanza logo

For those of you who are not regular readers of this blog, The Idea Thunderdome is just one property in the Gustanza enterprise. Okay, it’s the only property. But with the unveiling of the Dome logo a while back I felt Gustanza Enterprises deserved it’s day in the sun. So I reveal to you, the Gustanza Logo.

Thoughts?

Psst…Look in the address bar.

Found out how to get our logo up there. Sweetness. This page will help you create any little “favicon” you want. I had to work a little bit of magic because of wordpress, et al…but it is pretty sweet to infiltrate the address bar with the Gustanvalution! No star poll for this post, already know that kind of magicness gets us five fat gold shiny ones.

Genius Sign

Mcdonalds is partnering with good ol Mother Nature for this billboard in Wrigleyville. Read about it here in ChicagoBusiness.com

Really the whole point of this post is to test out a new star rating system that I will be incorporating in my new ideas powered by MajikWidget. Rate this post below.

Thunderdome logo

Giving a shot at creating a logo for The Idea Thunderdome…here it goes….

The Idea Thunderdome Logo

I still might make some improvements. The brain is not as good as I would like it and the mountain could use some more definition…but what does everyone think?
