Posts filed under 'Patents Pending' : Steal these ideas and “all your base are belong to us.”

RentMyDVDs.com ™

The idea is simple, instead of selling your old DVD’s that you do not watch anymore, why not rent them out? The first thing you would do is register all of your DVD’s on RentMyDVDs.com. We would send you stickers with your user ID and the movie ID number printed on them for you to place on your DVDs. Also we would send you some envelopes. After that users will browse to rent your DVD’s for low low prices. No monthly membership fees, no pressure. I am sure this is somehow illegal and in some violation of the MPAA or something, for now… DVD’s will be rented on tiered pricing based on popularity, etc… All the shipping will be free, you will get a cut of the revenue of each DVD sold. The website will automatically handle email notices, late fees, etc….

Nascar Bar

This is an idea I had a few months back. I will start off by saying that this is not an establishment that I would be interested in, but I am sure that it would make us mad dough.

It is exactly what the title says: a Nascar bar. The kicker is that the waitresses are dressed sexily like pit crew workers and refill your beer with pitchers that look like the gas cans that Nascar uses in the pits. Just try to imagine making the bar look exactly like the pit on race day. The only differences would be scantily clad women, tons of alcohol and plasma tv’s everywhere showing clips and/or races 24/7. The possibilities are endless, we would not want it to be too gaudy though, you know a classy Nascar joint.

Addendum: Another idea: even if we did not want to do the whole bar thing we could simply promote the gas can pitchers. We could sell the number 8 can, or even pitch the idea to a beer company and they could sell specialy cases much like the “keg can” that Heineken had years back. Now that idea is definitely patent pending..

Cell Phone Flashlight

Everyone at one point or another comes to that point in their in which they have a decision to make. Darkness is everywhere and often causes one to keenly stare, dialted pupils and all, into an unlit and darkened hall. Most are equipped with rudimentary things such as wallet, watch, pen, and of course cell phone. The common man would simply flip open their cell phone in order to navigate through such a predicament. I on the other hand am designing a small light that attaches to the bottom of your cell phone that would light the world ablaze.

Car trouble? Narrow birth canal? Deceased humanoid in need of pupil responsiveness test? A cell phone alone will not solve such problems. The “Cellulation Illumination Domination” will answer the call. Revolutionevolution.

Disaster Tracking

After watching all of this hurricane Katrina business it dawned on me that these areas are in shambles, peoples lives are ruined and we have incompentent State and Federal Governments. To add insult to injury personal belongings are destroyed, lost and blown away.

My idea is a GPS tracking system for personal belongings. From what I understand it is fairly simply to make small GPS chips. What we would do is market these chips for very important and personal belongings - ie urns with or without ashes, heirloom jewlery, etc. People could attach the GPS chips to a number of items, that way, in the event that a disaster strikes you just might have a chance to track down at least SOME of your belongings.
